Quality Engineered

Our quality demands attention to detail and processes.

The quality of the process speaks directly to the quality of our products and services, and we pride ourselves on delivering both.

Our processes are designed to meet and exceed the requirements of the commutators and slip rings we manufacture.

Statistical Processing Techniques

The implementation of SPC at critical processes ensures the customer’s quality requirements, the ability to anticipate customer needs, and industry developments. We have:

  • Ability to identify trends
  • Ability to maintain required specifications
  • Real time adjustments to processes as required

Our Process Flow Diagrams are a key part of the overall quality control and customer satisfaction protocol. It demonstrates the flow of material and product from the time it arrives to the time it is shipped to the customer.

Control Plans ensure that processes and controls are in place during manufacturing. Another detail in the overall process of ensuring quality control and customer satisfaction.

Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA’s) identify the potential issues and how they are addressed. With an emphasis on customer satisfaction and quality assurance.

Our Quality Process

To ensure the quality of our products we also follow the process outlined below.

Incoming Inspection

We use only approved suppliers who are continuously audited and monitored to ensure they meet our customers' stringent requirements.

Internal Auditing

We maintain an internal audit schedule with over 40 audits annually. This is the core of our quality system as it generates ongoing opportunities for continual process improvements. Annual audits are also performed by external, independent auditors.

Customer Issues/ Concerns

A timely customer-response protocol is the key to quality assurance and customer satisfaction. At ICCL, customer issues and concerns are addressed through an internal service call system. Tools such as "Fishbone" and "5 Whys" are used to determine root cause. Written corrective actions are submitted to the customer once the investigation is concluded.
